We have been fully committed to operating our home farm, which is located in St. Michael im Lungau 30 km from the Örgenhiasalm, as an organic business since 1992. We only rent out our alpine hut in the summer months!

SUMMER GETAWAYS
Every summer, we go through the same procedure as every year. Together with all the animals from our farm, we move for 3 months up to our hut and alpine pastures, which have been utilized without interruption for the past 250 years. There, every day we process the milk from our cows into butter and a variety of cheeses.

These dairy goods, along with meat products made at our home farm during the months of winter and springtime, are then transformed into a selection of hearty snacks that are served to passing hikers.

The hut and barn were built new in 1988. The apartment which we offer for rent was built new as an addition to the hut in 2020, hand-finished with loving attention to every single detail. We also offer one room for up to four people.

The newly built apartment offers space for the whole family. The light, sundrenched rooms serve as an ideal retreat where you can make yourself at home, relax and daydream to your heart’s content.

The hut is very easy to reach by car. We will provide you with a precise route description when we send your booking confirmation.
