For generations, we have put an emphasis on sustainable agriculture and forestry. It’s a top priority for us to cultivate our meadows, fields and forests and treat our animals with care.

Our dairy cows are fed on hay only, no silage. Our delicious milk is turned into different dairy products. Our guests may also taste the fresh milk. We use the herbs from our herb garden and our fruit in old, traditional recipes.

We make jams, juices, fruit brandy and our typical and unique bread and sell these products at the farm gate. Do you drink tap water at home? We are lucky enough to have private spring water. The spring is located roughly 100 m above our house and provides us with controlled high-quality drinking water. It tastes delightful and it’s great to drink alongside our home-made juices.

Our chicken enjoy ranging freely. As promised, they lay an egg every day. All of our cows and calves spend their summer vacation on the alpine pastures called “Samalm”, located above the village of Maria Luggau. This means that, in summer, we fetch the milk in the early morning from Seppl, our neighbour. You can always spot our cats Tom, Jack and Gismo somewhere on the farm. Rabbits and sheep as well.

Our farm is home to four cows and one calf who live in the free-stall barn. Nine hens, two rabbits (Blume and Blacky), the cats (Tom, Jack and Gismo), our ducks (Martin and Nils), the goats (Maja and Lotti) and two guinea pigs keep us company, also during the hottest months of the year. The cows spend three months on the alpine pastures where they enjoy eating the fresh grass. We’re always happy to pay them a visit there and stop by our private mountain cabin.
