About Us
Have you always wanted to know how real wool on a sheep feels like? How soft a foal’s nostrils are? Or look into the kind eyes of a cow?
How about a refreshing dip in the clear water, a hike on grass-covered mountains or a walk through dense, green forests?
Our farm Pfeiferhof is set in the small village of Oberdorf am Weißensee at an altitude of 980 m. It’s home to three generations of our family and to countess animals.
We run an organic farm because we care about nature and the well-being of our animals.
We are happy to show our guests our life and work on the farm. Take care of the barn, milk the cows, put them out to pasture, unload the hay or collect potato bugs - those who are interested are welcome to get active and pitch in or just watch.
We offer our guests 2 holiday apartments, 4 double rooms and 1 single room in our farmhouse. We put a great emphasis on sustainability. Our rooms and apartments are furnished with solid timber furniture and other natural materials with a long life span.
For the sake of our guests’ and our well-being, we do not offer Wi-Fi inside the house.
There are internet boxes with LAN connection in the breakfast room instead.
At the breakfast buffet, you’ll find lots of products that we’ve made from our cows’ milk.
Information for Arrival by Public Transport:
Train Connection:
Travel comfortably by train to Greifenburg station. Thanks to our partnership with the Weißensee Premium Card, we offer a complimentary shuttle service on request directly to our house and back.
Public Transport:
The bus stop is just 50 meters away. The Naturparkbus runs hourly during the off-season and every half hour during the peak season. With the Weißensee Premium Card, you can use the shuttle from the train station, the Naturparkbus, the lake ships, and the mountain railway free of charge.
Active and Mobile:
A bike rental is 1.5 km away. In emergencies, a local taxi service is available.
About Us
Winter at Lake Weißensee is as diverse as the landscape. Go ice skating next to snow-covered meadows and forests, ride in a horse-drawn sleigh on the lake, go alpine skiing on well-groomed pistes, go cross-country skiing (for beginners and advanced skiers), go for a toboggan ride down the hill from the mountain cabin or simply take a walk in the beautiful, great outdoors. Nature is at your doorstep.

We prepare an ample breakfast buffet every morning. It features our home-made products from the farm such as yoghurt, kefir, milk, white cheese, different spreads, home-made apple juice and jams. Moreover, there’s muesli, cold cuts and cheese, fresh bread and rolls as well as other seasonal products.
You can take home the taste of holidays by selecting one of the herb salts, teas and jams.
There are lots of things to discover and watch, animals to feed and pet on our farm. The horses with their soft nostrils are peaking curiously over the fence. The cows are looking at the newcomers in the barn with their large, kind eyes. The hilarious donkeys have taken over the entire barn. A giddy kitty is trying to climb up the farmer’s pants. The sheep are a bit reserved, but they are easily attracted by some bread and willingly let you stroke their soft wool. Perhaps one of the rabbits takes a glance out of his hole. The turkeys are watching the scene, relaxed and serene, clucking softly.
