About Us
The Reitlehenalm has space for around 40 people in idyllic double and multi-bed rooms and tree apartments. You can choose from bed & breakfast (buffet-style) . The apartments have a fully-equipped kitchen and can also be booked without the breakfast .
Our apartments and rooms offer wonderful mountain vistas or a romantic forest view. Children in particular love the gallery on the upper floor of the apartment. The kitchens are equipped with dishwashers, electric hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer, tableware and cooking utensils, pots and pans. Bed linen and towels are provided.
The Reitlehenalm can be reached by car. Snow chains are recommended in winter. Arrival in winter is also possible by ski lift, including transport of luggage.

The Reitlehenalm is more than 500 years old and has been owned by the same family since 1897. The lodge as it is today has been run as a guesthouse since 1973 and is a popular attraction amongst both locals and guests to the region.
You can reach us in summer as well as winter (tobogganing opportunities) via a well-paved road, which can be used by tour buses, too. For hikers – we're a 1.5 hour walk away.
Our mountain lodge is ideal...
- as jumping-off point or destination for hiking trips (Tip: hike on the "Rossbrand" for some of the prettiest mountain views in Austria – approx. 2 hours hiking)
- for mountain biking (we're situated directly on a mountain biking trail)
- for club or group excursions
- for family celebrations, birthday parties, etc.
- for weddings
- for school trips....

Our Reitlehenalm is famous for its outstanding local specialities. We also warmly welcome tour buses but ask that you contact us in advance. Whether it's your birthday party, your wedding, family celebration, club outing, a refreshment stop or "just" for a slice of home-made apple strudel with a glass of fresh buttermilk, we look forward to welcoming you!
On our menu:
- Lodge specialities – e.g., kasnock'n cheese dumplings, meat pasties, alpine cheese, butter, buttermilk, bacon, rowanberry and pine schnapps and much more
- Many products from our own organic farm and from the Pongau region in Salzburgerland.
- Trout specialties from our own spring-water pond
- Knuckle of pork, fondues, roast lamb, farmhouse roasts, ribs and grill platters, on advance order
- Revitalised Grander* spring water on tap throughout the house!
*Fresh, soft mountain-spring water flows at the Reitlehenalm, revitalised and highly-energised using natural methods pioneered by Johann Grander, naturalist from Tyrol. Water is life and brings effervescence to the soul....
