About Us
Our mountain lodge is located at 1,313 metres above sea level in the Habachtal valley, a region rich in minerals. Enjoy a few delightful days in our rustic log cabin and experience nature at its most beautiful while hiking in the Habachtal valley.
During the summer months, approximately 30 dairy cows and 10 calves from our Hauserhof farm spend their days on the nearby pastures. Our junior farmer, Mathias, cares for them – this includes milking them in the mornings and at 6 PM. (Anyone is welcome to watch or even offer a helping hand!)
Mathias' responsibilities also include our 6 alpine pigs, who have become quite friendly over time. Feel free to pet them if you get the chance.
For our youngest guests, we have built a stone playground. A marmot burrow with a length of 12 metres, slides, swings, and a seesaw dog are waiting for playmates.
One of the highlights of the Habachtal valley are its emeralds. Everyone can try their luck: the necessary equipment can be borrowed from us free of charge.
The following rooms are available for rent at our Smaragdalm mountain lodge:
- 2 four-bed rooms with a double bed, bunk bed, shower/toilet, and balcony
- 2 double rooms with a shower/toilet and balcony
As a special service, we offer breakfast and dinner at the Enzianhütte lodge (approximately 70 metres away from the Smaragdhütte lodge).
Come for a visit and experience true Pinzgau hospitality!
We are looking forward to your visit.
