About Us
Comfortable holiday in the cabins for families.
In 1990 our cabins were turned into holiday homes. As a result it offers both features: The experience of a sense of a back-to-the-nature holiday - but without having to give away all the comforts of a cosy holiday home.
Two separate sleeping rooms, a dishwasher, WLAN, coffeemachine, a wintergarden and a fence on the backside of the house where your dog can go outside, will bring a lot of comfort to your holidays
The cabin "Umundumhütte", skirting the forest, is only 300 m from the farm, and offers a lot of privacy thanks to the small hill Wetterkreuzbichel. Our guests can enjoy the nature and quiety around the cabin.
In summer our farm rings with the happy laughter of the children cavorting in the large swimming pool (6x12 metres) Our horses graze peacefully on our mountain pastures with their fouls. Dogs, cat, hens, goats and donkeys round off the farm life.
The large new hangar is usually empty till it is filled with hay in winter. An ideal place for exploration expeditions. But the area in and around the shed, with the tack room and the storeroom for hay and wood, promises fun and frolicking. The goat runs about next to the Tenn ascent and our dogs love to steal the food. The hens bustle about in the coop.
Our farm is only one kilometre from the road and it is easy to get quickly to the city or to Murau, the small district capital. And yet we live in a completely peaceful and secluded location. Only a one-family house is still present next to the farm. Children can run and bounce around as much as they please and spend simple yet fun-filled holidays with the animals. While playing football, only take care not to trip over one of the donkeys grazing in the meadow. After all nothing can unruffle our "Johanna".
If you are on holiday with your dog than enjoy our roads behind the cabin that lead right into the woods for a wonderful walk. While in the house, the dog may go outside because there is a fence and so your dog will enjoy this freedom very much.

Relaxation at a place full of magic, peace and beauty.
From December we live in an enchanted winter landscape. It is very quiet - with only our horses galloping through the snow. The morning sun invites you to enjoy long winter walks. Deer and rabbits venture up to the house and birds come up to the windows. The ski regions are only 20 minutes away, but the area around the cosy, warm cabin is even more beautiful.
There is always something to do for children, such as: Building snow castles, riding down the Wetterkreuzbichel hill on a bobsleigh. While children and dogs play in the snow outside, parents can revive themselves with a cup of tea or coffee in the wintergarden and chat about the events of the past year. As the stove gently crackles and snowflakes fall outside, the best place to be is in a sociable group around the coffee table.
As we only occasionally have fog in the Katsch valley, our guests will usually be awoken by the morning sun and glistening snow. For children that means: Head out into the sparkling white landscape and try out the new sledge. The horses are already neighing and running around in the new snow, while our little energetic dog gets completely stuck in the snow.
The cabin can conveniently be heated by our central heating system or with the tiled stove. Some guests like to heat extensively and with a well filled wooden hut and icy temperatures you can do so as often as you like. Afterwards you can sit in warm comfort reading an interesting book, playing board games or watching as the snowflakes fall softly from above and form a cotton wool like layer on the panes.
On moonlit nights, when there are thousands of stars in the sky, it is a very special experience to walk through the snowy meadows and forest. It is completely quiet except for the crunching of the snow underfoot.
Dear guests, we don't offer you an all-round entertainment program, but we do offer nature, simplicity and harmony.
And anyone seeking just that won't be disappointed.
