Stephano Das-Wein-Gut

Full of character, deep, spicy, exotic, classic - good wines are like a comedy by Shakespeare. Stephano, the intoxicated winemaker from Shakespeare's famous comedy "The Tempest", is therefore not just randomly the inspiration for the winery StephanO.

We intend to produce top wines from the newly acquired vineyards in Deutsch-Schützen and Eisenberg - with the same passion as Shakespeare's StephanO.

Besides StephanO many other main characters of Shakespeare such as Adrian, Trinculo, Caliban or Gonzalo give the composition of our wines their finishing touch, from Blaufränkisch to Merlot. They thrive on the heavy clay soils of the southern Burgenland's vineyards.

Be inspired by our world of wine. Just come and visit our wine estate. The focal point: the tasting at the wine bar - with a clear view into the barrel cellar - just before the cozy wood table invites you to linger and philosophize.
