About Us
Our farm “Sturm-Archehof” is one of more than 80 farms dedicated to preserving heritage livestock breeds in Austria. It’s an organic farm set in the Mölltal valley, Carinthia. Come and visit a farm where humans and nature live in harmony with each other, where people follow the rhythm of the seasons.
In summer, you can stroll along the “walk of literature” to the waters that are home to lots of amphibians or to the biotope on our farm. Learn more about livestock breeds that are threatened by extinction. Get to know a nature conservation strategy covering all aspects of our business. On our farm, we implement it in harmony with nature.
Our farm is home to a range of native livestock breeds: our goats (“Tauernschecken”), sheep (“Braunes Bergschaf”), turkeys (“Cröllwitzer Pute”), geese (“Österreichische Landgans”), chicken of all colours, rabbits, bees, trouts, cats and dogs. All our animals are allowed to roam freely on our premises.
Enjoy the blaze of colour on our wildflower meadows, smell fragrant herbs and take in a breathtaking and unobstructed view of nature and the valley.
Spend your holiday with all members of your family or with your friends in our large holiday apartments featuring 6-8 beds and 130 m³ of living area.
The furniture in the apartments is made of untreated Austrian stone pine. All the furnishings were manufactured in the workshop on our farm.
Meet Hubert Pucher who runs a small, unique artisan shop on the farm “Sturm-Archehof”. He’s been crafting buttons there for 20 years now. Unique pieces made of buckhorn, cow’s horn, different types of wood, stone or porcelain are manufactured here. But he also makes pens, desk organisers, wooden bowls, Christmas mangers and jewellery.
The “walk of literature” runs along the river Möll and takes you through a grey alder forest. Texts cited from Angelina Pucher’s books are food for thought. Seats at beautiful spots invite you to sit quietly for a moment and immerse your senses in nature.
Visit a place where time is not working against but in favour of the human being. We invite you to get to know this world.

About Us
Our farm “Sturm-Archehof” is set in a beautiful natural landscape, only a 20 minutes’ walk from the village centre. You can start cross-country skiing on the 12 km trail that runs directly past our farm. There’s a small toboggan run next our farm. Children love to play and have fun in the snow there in the afternoon. They build snowmen and snow caves. An ice rink and a 2 km toboggan run are only a 10 minutes’ walk from our farm. There are places for ice climbing, snowshoeing, ... Immerse yourself in a winter wonderland!
A winter like in the good old days. Moments of unrivalled beauty.
Speeding down a street on the sledge at New Year’s Eve with the full moon glowing in the sky. Go skiing with the sun, a clear blue sky and mild temperatures as a backdrop. And finally, enjoy welcoming the new year with fireworks again.
Winter’s over - it’s hard to say goodbye. But the memories fill your heart with joy.
The artisan shop on our farm “Sturm-Archehof” is called “button-maker’s workshop”. Everything that’s for sale is handcrafted from natural materials on the farm.
Since 1994, Hubert manufactures buttons. Slowly but steadily, he’s got familiar with this old type of craftsmanship.
That’s why our artisan shop is called “button-maker’s workshop” (or “Knopfmacherstube” in German) - because it has all started with buttons.
Although apart from buttons made of buckhorn, cow’s horn, wood, porcelain and stone, you can also purchase a range of other handcrafted souvenirs and products such as bowls, desk organisers, pens, books written by farmer Angelina Pucher, gift cards, felt slippers, ...
Every piece of furniture that you can see in the holiday apartment was manufactured in button-maker Hubert Pucher’s workshop. Not only the bed made of Austrian stone pine or the frames but also the doors, the toilet-roll holders and the lampshades.
Everything on our farm is handmade.
That’s what we’re especially proud of.
On our farm “Sturm-Archehof”, we keep animals that are threatened by extinction.
Animals that have names, that are individuals and fellow creatures.
Our sheep (a rare breed called “Braunes Bergschaf”) have beautiful names, for example Arthemisia, Athena, Anastasia, Marischka, Mariella, ...
Tassilo, the billy goat, is the head of our herd. The goat breed “Tauernschecken” has become rare. We also have native goose (“Österreichische Landgans”) and chicken breeds (“Sulmtaler”), rare rabbits (“Blaue Wiener Kaninchen”) and turkeys (“Cröllwitzer Pute”), bees, fish, cats, dogs, ...
Almost all of our animals are allowed to roam freely on our premises. An idyllic scenery that you can hardly see anywhere else.
