Winklerhütte

Our mountain cabin is located in the nature reserve “Vorderes Pöllatal” in the municipality of Rennweg am Katschberg. It’s a cosy and comfortable place for a self-catering holiday. It sleeps families or groups of up to 8 people in search of relaxation.

Set at an altitude of 1,700 m, this log cabin was built with larch wood from our own forests and a great deal of love. Back then and up to this day, the tradition of Alpine transhumance, the seasonal droving of grazing livestock up to the mountain pastures, is kept alive here. Once a year, the pastures are mowed. In summer, they all belong to our cattle.

Leave your everyday worries behind and enjoy the silence in the mountains while the kids are playing with the fresh spring water from the fountain, spend time in the play cabin or go on a discovery in nature.

Pets are not allowed.

Our cabin is open from May to October.
