The Origional Bregenzerwälder farmhouse is over 300 years old. In it were created in 2022 three completely new, very well equipped and bright feel-good apartments for you.
We have a large garden with plenty of space and possibilities ... from a cozy barbecue to exuberant swinging and jumping at the tampolin. Various seating and lounging options invite you to linger and enjoy right on the farm.
We? Yes, that's Pamela and Roman with Lisa-Sophie, Elias and Paul as well as grandparents Helene and Jodok, who also live on the farm.
The location of the farm in the countryside and yet within walking distance of the town center is ideal for a car-free vacation with the whole family. Directly connected to the bike path network of the Bregenzerwald as well as walking and hiking trails through meadows and forests, along streams and to waterfalls.
From May to October you can get the guest card Bregenzerwald directly from us, which offers the free use of various offers in the region: Tourism program, public transport to the cities of Dornbirn and Bregenz, outdoor swimming pools and mountain railroads.
The Bregenzerwald is known for its handicraft, wood construction, houses with stories and architecture. It may be special to live in a traditional house of the region. But, see for yourself.

Nearby family ski areas up to the largest, connected ski area of the Bregenzerwald Damüls-Mellau and even the direct access to Ski Arlberg in Schröcken or the easy accessibility of the cities of Dornbirn and Bregenz make Egg an ideal starting point for your next winter vacation. Prepared winter hiking trails, snowshoe routes and ski tours are just waiting to be discovered by you.

Your Pamela
The White Gold is available directly from the farm of the Köss Schertler family in the Bregenzerwald. We are happy when you enjoy the fresh raw milk from the cow at the breakfast table.
Hay milk is a valuable food produced by small-structured agriculture, where biodiverse, with common sense and a clear commitment to animal welfare. Especially for this I started the project "White Gold" in 2020, where I show in my own small manufactory with much love and detail work, what milk can do.
In the Andelsbuch alpine dairy you can also get a wide selection of Bregenzerwald cheese. In Egg in the Bregenzerwald you can find farm products in the farm and farm stores, which can be seen at www.direggt.at.
A small sample of beer produced in Egg by the Egg Brewery is given to all our house guests upon arrival. These liquid products can then also be purchased directly on site at the brewery's ramp.
Further valuable tips on food and your grocery shopping you will receive during your stay directly at the family farm Köss Schertler.
Directly at the family farm Schertler-Köss linger all year round the rabbits, guinea pigs and cats. Occasionally, our guests even enjoy young kittens during the summer months - a very special experience.
Our dairy cattle including their young animals spend the summer on the alps in the Mellental in the Bregenzerwald. During this time, the haymaking is done on the home farm, where they are welcome to lend a hand. From September to May these cattle are then happy to be fed with the hay or to be observed directly on the pasture and in the barn on site at the Köss-Schertler family farm. You want to try milking a cow? Go ahead, at milking and barn time together with the farmer.
Experience life in the country and on the farm up close.
To experience alpine farming up close in summer, a trip to the Alpe Brongen in Egg-Schetteregg is also worthwhile. The Meusburger family of alpine farmers provides direct insights into everyday life on the alp, the animal world and alp cheese production.
