Welcome to our farm Knirschenhof!
Lush green meadows and a burbling stream - sit down on the bench and enjoy the silence and the sounds of nature. The tranquility and the panoramic views in the valley. We are happy to spoil you.
Nature has gifted us. Plentiful. With plenty of space and room for us and our guests. Start your day with an ample breakfast with farm products. Observe, pet and feed our animals. Each of them loves getting attention. Take the time to stroke the cat’s fluffy, warm fur. Let’s build a dam in the sandpit! It’s great fun. Jump into the pool, feel refreshed and float in the water. You can do that on our farm.
Regular meeting: 17:30 in the barn! Feed the cows yourself, watch them being milked ... How does fresh milk taste? How many eggs does a hen lay? How much milk does a calf drink? Get to know the answers.
Do you prefer a hike to one of the nearby mountain cabins? See the sunlight sparkle.
Back at the farm. Take a lounger. Time for yourself. Where are the kids? They drive around in their go-karts, jump on the trampoline or have fun in the water. And then? A campfire with some bread on a hazel stick. The simple things in life are the best, right? And for you? A shot of home-made schnapps.
Every day is exciting! The local guest card “Pyhrn-Priel Card” is included in your stay on our farm Knirschenhof. It boasts something new every day.

Alpine skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tobogganing - here, you can have it all. Nestled in the mountains surrounding the Windischgarstnertal valley, you’ll find our farm in a sunny, quite location. The ski resorts “Wurzeralm” and “Höss” for advanced skiers are nearby and the ski lift on the farm “Hotz” is especially great for families with small children and beginners.
Our farm is only 1 km from the floodlit natural toboggan run.
Cross-country skiers will rejoice about the vast network of trails and the biathlon centre which comes with ideal snow conditions until April. All those who’d like to experience something special can embark on a guided snowshoeing walk through the Kalkalpen National Park. Children are very fond of building snowmen and having a snowball fight in the white winter wonderland.

Living at Knirschenhof is a delight - we produce a variety of culinary delights such as noodles, eggs, yoghurt, milk, butter, apple juice and, of course, fruity jams for breakfast. We make 16 different types of noodles on our farm. Come, try and savour!
Our rich farm breakfast has even more to offer: fresh milk, freshly baked rolls and pastries, sweet jams, a spicy curd cheese spread, muesli, a soft-boiled egg. Or do you prefer scrambled eggs? And, last but not least, fresh yoghurt with the sweetest fruits from the farm garden. Pure delight!
Would you like your breakfast served to your holiday apartment? Our baker will gladly deliver all orders to the front door.
Taste nature. Enjoy the moment!
Our animals are as diverse as the landscape. Cows, calves, cats, colourful rabbits or chicken plus two roosters - all of them are happy if you pay them a visit. Our cats love to get a handful of dry food, our rabbits prefer daffodils, carrots and old bread and the chicken...
... feel how smooth and warm the cats’ fur is when they’re basking in the sun...
