The holiday home “Maar1” is located at an altitude of roughly 1000 m on a sunny hillside of the mountain Goldberg in the Gailtal valley, Carinthia. After extensive renovations of the historic building, the former agricultural estate belonging to the castle Burg Goldenstein has been transformed into an oasis of peace and recreation.
The outstanding location of the holiday home will take your breath away: Set on a sunny forest glade, protected by the surrounding forest and with a stunning view of the Carnic and Gailtal Alps, it’s a place to enjoy something that has become a true luxury these days: silence - no distractions.
If you take a break in our holiday home “Maar1”, you can be sure not to meet any crowds - no matter if you set out on a country walk or embark on an alpine climbing tour. Sitting in the garden or on the terrace and simply doing nothing is also a good choice.

If you take a break in our holiday home “Maar1”, you can be sure not to meet any crowds - no matter if you set out on a country walk or embark on a ski tour. The family-friendly ski resort “Vorhegg” is only 10 km from the house. The larger ski resort “Nassfeld” is 20 km from here. In the cold season, it’s especially cosy in the living room of the historic farmhouse where the tiled stove brings warmth and comfort.
