About Us
A WARM WELCOME to the Mayrhof!
Our farm is located on the outskirts of Werfenweng. We run an organic farm with suckler cows and calf rearing. Our cows are allowed to spend the summer on the mountain pasture, but there is still a lot going on at the farm. We have many animals on the farm, who are very happy to be petted and have playmates (farm dog Luna, cats, rabbits, 2 mini pigs and goats).
Those seeking peace and quiet can relax and watch our deer and ibex enclosure from a deckchair while the kids let off steam in the farm's own playground.
In summer, the swimming lake is of course an absolute highlight. The lake is right next to our farm. Our guests have private access to the lake area, and admission is free for our guests!
Werfenweng has plenty more to offer for those who want a little more action:

- Mountain cart track
- Flying Fox
- Guided hikes and mountain tours
- "Werfenwenger Spazierhimmel" walking trail suitable for pushchairs
- Tandem flights at the paragliding school

Many restaurants, sports shops, a local supermarket and the cable cars are just a few minutes' walk away.
There are several summer toboggan runs, the legendary Eisriesenwelt in Werfen, thermal baths, the Liechtensteinklamm gorge, Hohenwerfen Castle, the Haus der Natur in Salzburg and much more just a few minutes' drive from our village.
Our 7 holiday flats have all been newly renovated and furnished with high-quality materials. They offer space for 2-7 people and, in addition to the bedrooms, have a living/dining area, a bathroom and WC as well as a balcony.
In winter you can use the free ski bus (bus stop just 100 metres away) to get directly to the cable car. The ski area is approx. 1 km from our farm. Werfenweng is a great family ski area with manageable pistes for beginners, advanced skiers and experts.
In front of our house there is also a trail entrance for all cross-country skiing fans as well as beautiful winter hiking trails.
Directly behind the house, our own toboggan slope provides fun and action. A fun toboggan run is guaranteed to make children's hearts beat faster.

Since 2020, we have been breeding the highly endangered and endangered cattle breed "Pustertaler Sprinzen" on our organic farm. This breed of cattle is characterised by its good maternal instinct, robustness and vitality.
Right next to the farm you will find a deer and ibex enclosure. There are many passionate hunters in our family and we are happy to tell you more about wild animals.
Our petting zoo consists of rabbits, mini pigs, cats, dwarf goats, chickens and a very lovely farm dog called Luna.
