About Us
How easy and uncomplicated life is when you look down from Natur-Gut Lassen onto the valleys of Carinthia -like an eagle from its nest, you are certain to develop an eye for the significant. Natur-Gut Lassen offers an entirely secluded location surrounded by our forests and meadows, on a high plateau above the cloud line at an altitude of 1040 m. Here your senses will be automatically heightened - with the barefoot experience trail, the natural and homemade produce and herbs that your meals are carefully made from, the aromas of freshly mowed hay and the many unidentifiable calls from the meadows and forests around the farm. Live and work within the cycles of nature - at Natur-Gut Lassen we can offer you our own spring water - our water is soft (no limestone), fresh, cool and refreshing. Our house is equipped with a wood chipper - hot water and heating are produced using renewable natural materials. Ecology is very important to us and the farm is constructed mainly using wood from its own forest - even our guestrooms are appointed using various wood types. We are very proud of the variety of animal species on our farm - alongside our family with three children and our great colleagues, we have lots of other farm occupants such as our dog Asita, donkey, pony, pigs, chickens, cats, cows, calves, ducks, fish in the nearby ponds and deer and doe on our nearby hunting ground. As a guest you are the missing component and will take your place in farm life, experiencing as you do the origins of the healthy produce.
About Us
Natur-Gut Lassen offers itself as winter accommodation for the whole family and is usually above cloud level in winter. Starting at the house is our 3.5 km toboggan run, from our meditation cabin to the farm. Our house pond is usually frozen in winter and offers ice skating or curling opportunities.
Two kilometres from our farm is the start of the cross-country ski run which runs to the World Cup ski location of Bad Kleinkirchheim. There you have the possibility to book discounted children's skiing lessons through our farm.
Campfire romance and torchlit walks are a regular part of winter on Natur-Gut Lassen. How about a visit to the sauna in our well-being area and then out into the snow? In the evening, enjoy nature oriented delicacies, prepared with lots of attention to detail, and then listen to sensual music around the fireplace.
Recognising and accepting gifts of nature in our mountain cuisine - blueberries, mushrooms and elderflowers enrich the menu. Home-made jams, juices and natural aperitifs with herbs and fruits from our garden are pure delicacies.
The menu also includes venision from our own hunting grounds as well as fallow deer from our own enclosure, fish and crayfish from our own ponds and beef from regional production.
We obtain excellent organic alpine hay milk with home-made butter or cheese from our direct neighbourhood.
