“Grias Enk!” – Welcome to Bio Bauernhof Oberbenk!
When the kids ask where the butter comes out of the cow, there’s only one remedy:
a holiday with us at Bio Bauernhof Oberbenk.
Madam, Gundi and Gräfin – just a few of the names from our herd of cows that we milk twice a day. We would be happy to give you a glimpse into life and work on our farm, and why sustainable farming methods are so important for man and animal alike.
Our farm lies roughly 2 km from Wagrain, with views of wonderful mountain landscapes that have put a big smile on countless faces.

About Us
Action and adventure in the winter countryside
Our Bio Bauernhof Oberbenk is located in the middle of the Ski amadé ski region. The Snow Space Salzburg ski area is only 2.2 km from us. That’s why our farm is well worth a visit in winter as well as summer!
When the snow crystals glisten in the sunshine and the mountains are covered in a radiant blanket of white, you only have one option: clamp on your skis and hit the pistes!
Of course, you can also explore our winter countryside on touring skis or snowshoes from right here on our farm. A snowball fight or toboggan ride is also guaranteed to be great fun and a memorable adventure for the whole family!

Appreciation for home-produced foods
We are organic farmers with a passion, which is reflected in our products.
We harvest various fruits, including wild blackberries, blueberries and cherries, on our own land and transform them into delicious jams, jellies and juices.
One of our most valuable products is milk. In summer, we turn the raw milk into butter and various cheeses. Fresh farmhouse bread is essential to go with that delicious butter, of course.
For “health purposes”, we will also be able to offer you a shot of good schnapps, which you are welcome to sample as we spend a convivial evening together.
Since we do live in harmony with the animals and nature, we are not always able to produce all products year-round.

In harmony with animal and nature
We operate an organic dairy farm and breed our own cows. That is to say, we bring roughly 20 calves into this world every year. A small miracle in every case. You are welcome to lend a hand milking the cows and taking care of the calves. A memorable experience for big and small!
Our two farm dogs and family pets go by the names Daisy and Franzl. Daisy has been with us for many years, which means she keeps a close eye on all of us. Franzl is still very young and playful. Though they both have one thing in common: They love driving cattle.
Naturally, we also have animals to pet. Our rabbits, cats and guinea pigs can never get enough pampering.
Two Noriker horses and two ponies also have a role to play here depending on the time of year. Both of our incredibly sweet pony mares love to be stroked and groomed. And so that they never get bored, you are welcome to them on a walk or give them a loving pampering. Our two horses are called Lady and Fany. They are so similar in appearance, it’s hard to tell them apart.
