Mountain farm with lake view - ENJOY PURE NATURE
A WARM WELCOME- It’s great to see that you’ve found us.
Our mountain farm “Bergbauernhof Oberwinkler” at an altitude of 1,240 m has been run by the Poßegger family for many years. It’s set in the heart of the beautiful province of Carinthia - nestled between the Nockberge mountains and Lake Millstätter See. After a warm-hearted welcome on our farm, you can immerse yourself in the almost pristine natural landscape, lush green meadows and forests and lovingly cared for farms in our region.
Lake Millstätter See is only a 5 minutes’ drive ... A natural gem with drinking water quality that makes everyone’s heart leap for joy. Where are the most beautiful spots? - Your hosts will tell you.
The sun and clean air are a treat for your lungs and bronchial tubes and a spectacular panoramic view guarantees unrivalled moments of joy!
Orchards in full bloom, wild herbs in summer, colourful leaves in autumn or snow crystals - it’s always a great time for a holiday up here.
You’ll be well taken care of by your host family as well as our dog, cats, cows and calves, pigs, horses, miniature pony “Lady”, chicken, ducks, geese and rabbits - Your children will feel at home.
We produce bacon, sausages and salami as well as fresh milk and yoghurt on our farm. We bake several types of bread every week. Tasty white bread, the traditional “Kärntner Reindling” (a Bundt cake made with yeast dough and filled with honey and cinnamon), filled ravioli and different types of jams ... be surprised! Our guests, young or old, are very welcome to see for themselves how we produce our natural food products.

“It’s getting quiet around the lake and on the mountains” - That’s what you’ll experience on our farm and in the surroundings in winter!
Glistening trees - icicles on the fountain - silence in the woods - warm, energising sunrays - warm, cosy living rooms and bedrooms heated with firewood and an unspoilt panoramic view invites you to stay at our farm Oberwinkler!
A lot of ski resorts such as Goldeck, Katschberg, Innerkrems, Bad Kleinkirchheim, St. Oswald and Gerlitzen are within a few kilometres by car. We are happy to inform you!
An insider tip: Lake Weißensee is a mountain lake and, since it’s frozen almost every year, a perfect spot for ice skating for all ages!
Relax during winter on our mountain in Gschriet. You’ll be amazed!

Cows with their calves, dog and cats, ducks with their babies, chicken with rooster and - if you’re lucky - sweet chicks, miniature pony “Lady”, who loves to be cleaned, stroked, taken out and ridden, our new friends on the farm: three geese, our Noriker mare “Melissa” and, of course, our bunnies are looking forward to getting a bit of tender loving care and fresh daffodils!
Helping in the barn is included in your stay.
