About Us
Years of tradition, years of love for animals and years of loyalty to our guests. This is the story of our farm.
Surrounded by mountains and meadows, our farm is located directly in the valley in the municipality of Greifenburg. The wonderful location in the middle of the Upper Drautal between the Weißensee Nature Park and the Embergeralm invites you to linger. The Greifenburg swimming lake is also within walking distance and offers many leisure activities for the whole family.
Our farm was mentioned in documents as early as 1500. At that time it was run as a nursing home for the Prince of Schoss Greifenburg. Today we run a Pinzgau suckler cow breeding business and there are also 170 laying hens on the farm. Two donkeys named “Lord & Maja” also live on the farm. There are also goats, quails, ducks and cats.
Not only is there a lot to discover, but there is also the opportunity to help out in the stable or in the field with the hay or potato harvest. Bacon, sausages, liver sausage and bread are also made on the farm. The farm's own eggs can be taken directly from the nest and eaten.
Our spacious rooms and our holiday apartment, newly renovated in 2023, offer you plenty of relaxation to enjoy your holiday on our farm. You are also welcome to take advantage of our breakfast offer. We attach great importance to regional and seasonal products from the area, but you can also find homemade delicacies on our breakfast plate.
There are numerous leisure activities in the area:
- Greifenburg swimming lake (10 minutes walk)
- Greifenburg toll mile (walking time 15min.)
- Greifenburg climbing forest (10 minutes on foot)
- Water adventure trail (walking time 15 minutes)
- Weißensee Nature Park (15min. - 13km by car)
- Emberger Alm (with the car ski area & paragliding - 23min.-12km)
You also have the option of using our “Hohe Tauern National Park” guest card. With this card you get many discounts at the beautiful swimming lakes and various leisure activities. With the card you can also use the S-Bahn throughout Carinthia free of charge during your stay.
