About Us
Authentic tradition going back to 1606!
The historic “Schmiedhäusl” farm, dating back to 1606, accommodates up to 12 people on 3 floors. During renovation of this over 400-year-old Alpine chalet, painstaking attention was given to preserving its original form. There are many areas where you can still admire the centuries-old wood and craftsmanship. The house itself enjoys a peaceful setting at the edge of Europa Sport Region Zell am See – Kaprun.
Kramerl
The former barn from 1606 has served many purposes over the past 400 years. After a total rehab in 2020, the “Kramerl” is now an Alpine chalet, providing you with a holiday home-away-from-home and a place of total regeneration.
As we remodeled, we were committed to preserving the original form of the house. By hand, the meter-thick stone walls were exposed and restored. The visible wooden structure isn’t merely some decorative ornamentation, it is part of the load-bearing frame of the house, hand-cut only with an axe, hundreds of years ago. Any renovations that did prove necessary were kept to an absolute minimum and done with skill. Unobtrusive, yet visible. Daylight shines through the big picture windows into the Alpine chalet, enticing you to sit in the pine-paneled room and gaze out at those incomparable landscapes.
Summer
In summer, fans of outdoor sports find just what they are looking for. The 270 km-long Tauern Bike Path passes right past the house. Hikers and mountaineers also discover their own personal “playground” in the surrounding countryside. The Moosalm is suitable as a hiking tour with children or as a mid-station on the way up to the Hundstein. For mountaineers with a head for heights, the Drei Brüder can be reached directly from your chosen holiday home.
Zeller See is about 5 km away. There, you can stretch out and relax at the swimming beach in Erlberg. “Strandbad Erlberg” is ideal for children especially, not least because water access is quite flat.
Winter
The two Alpine chalets lie on the edge of Hohe Tauern National Park in Salzburger Land, between Zell am See and Kaprun.
The ski areas of the Schmittenhöhe, Kitzsteinhorn and Saalbach are just a few minutes from your holiday domicile by car. The sled run and Berggasthof Kohlschnait are in walking distance. After a long day of skiing or in very cold conditions, you might well want to pay a visit to Badewelt at the Woferlgut in Bruck. There, you will have multiple pools to choose from as well as a very spacious sauna area.
